Asphalt sealcoating prevents your asphalt investment by preventing early degradation of your parking lot,  asphalt driveway or other pavement surfaces.   Sealcoating is a critical part maintaining your asphalt as it extends the life of your pavement investment.  
 

Sealcoat  is a rubberized coal tar emulsion of asphalt, water, mineral fillers, and various other materials combined together which is applied directly to the surface of an asphalt pavement using a rubber squeegee followed with the use of a mechanical sealcoating sprayer.

The purpose of Sealcoating  is to seal a layer to the  top of the asphalt which protects it  from sun exposure and penetrating water.  Sealcoating  is most often applied to parking lots and driveways. Sealcoat is also often used to remedy areas of gasoline or chemicals spills.

The process of sealcoating is considered a cost preventative solution to the high expense of replacing damaged asphalt.
